Frequently Asked Questions

Q How do I book an appointment?

Appointments can only be booked online. I only accept booking requests two month at a time.  That means, if today is Feb 8th the latest you can book an appointment is April 8th.

Q Is there a waiting list or could you contact me when an appointment becomes available?

If there are no available appointment slots in the next months, new slots open up if any cancellations occur. Due to the current demand on Raquel’s schedule, there is limited availability, allowing accommodation for few new guests monthly.

Q Where are you located?

15235 John J Delaney Drive, Suite 107
Charlotte NC 28277.
Please note that I do not accept walk-ins; appointment only.

Q Where can I view your work?

You can view the majority of my work on Instagram or Facebook.

Q Do you work Sunday and Monday?

Unfortunately, no.

Q What can I expect from an appointment?

During your appointment, you will receive a one-on-one consultation prior to your service. During this time, we will thoroughly discuss your wants, needs, and goals for your hair. Everything done during the appointment is personalized – from the cut, to the product styling, to the recommendations. It’s all different according to the uniqueness of your curls!

You will be educated on how to maintain your hair at home, which is the most important tool you’ll walk away with! After every session, we want your curls to look great in and out of the salon!

Q What type of payments do you take?

Accepted payment methods include: Cash, Zelle, Venmo, ApplePay, Square, Visa, Discover, American Express, and Mastercard

Q How do I prepare my hair for the appointment?

Your hair must be dry and in its natural state before I cut it. Please come in with your hair cleansed, conditioned, detangled, and dry. Style it as you normally would but take care to avoid heavy oils and butters that leave a film on your hair and weigh it down.

Please DO NOT pull hair back in ponytails or clips, no twist outs, and no braids so the curls are not stretched out, and I can see them in their natural state and cut them properly.

If your hair is up (ie. in a bun or ponytail), the appointment will last longer, therefore you will be charged more for the longer service.

Q How often do I need to come back after my first curly haircut appointment?

On average, I recommend every 3-6 months.

You’re welcome and encouraged to come in as often as you’d like for treatments in between your cuts.

Q How long are the services?

The breakdown for the service times are under the service descriptions on the website. They are accurate, as long as you come with your hair properly prepared (see instructions above on how to prepare your hair for the appointment).

Q If I just want a trim, is that the same as a haircut?

Yes, it is the same. The same personalized cutting technique is used for a haircut and trim.

Q Do you service children?

Currently, we do not service children under the age of 11.

Q What if I have questions that aren’t listed here?
